While we had quite a long drive yesterday, we wondered why the Alaska Highway had hundreds of random rough road sections. The reason was an earthquake back in 2002, that destroyed the only man-build thing in that region – the highway.
Reentering the US yesterday was never easier. Thomas declared the fresh vegetables we had in car and the officer replied: native English, are you sure, you are from Germany?, smiled and wiped us through.
Today another lengthy drive is on the agenda, with a glacier, a rendier farm and more along the way. Weather doesn’t look as good as before.
